The Hotel in San Casciano
The Albergo Sette Querce is situated only a few meters from the historic center of
San Casciano dei Bagni, a medieval village that overlooks the southern aspects
face of Monte Cetona.
Less than a mile away, the newly renovated spa and beauty
center of San Casciano. Nestled on a high plateau between the Val d'Orcia and
Valdichiana, the hotel is only fifteen minutes by car from the autostrada exits at
Fabro (going north from Rome) or Chiusi/Chianciano (going south from Florence).
In a 30 to 40 minute drive, you can reach other splendid Tuscan and Umbrian hill
towns and villages famed for their art, architecture and wine production, among
them Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Orvieto and Cortona. Florence and Rome
can be reached in 90 minutes by train or car.
The Suites
Framed by an ancient forest that embraces the completely renovated old building, Sette Querce has nine magnificent suites, each with its own entrance for privacy and freedom. Each suite also is appointed with a telephone, television, independent climate control, a kitchen/bar area and hydro-massage tub. Many of the suites have a terrace or balcony, perfect for quiet naps or breakfasting al fresco. The hotel's interior was created by the well-known Designer Guild of London, under direction of Tricia Guild and Francesco Miani.. There is ample parking.
The hotel's windows open onto a seductive panorama of this 15th century walled bill town with its rustic stone houses, castle and the village bell tower. Nearby amenities include a tennis court, a golf course (30 minutes away), a riding stable and, notably, a fully equipped spa, which draws on the village's naturally warm mineral waters. The spa has a thermal swimming pool and offers other curative treatments. |
